Boston Celtics defeat Dallas Mavericks 106-99

Boston, MA - The Boston Celtics held off a spirited comeback attempt from the Dallas Mavericks to win Game 3 of the 2024 NBA Finals 106-99 and take a commanding 3-0 lead in the series. Kristaps Porzingis, returning from a calf injury, played a key role in the win, scoring 20 points.

The Celtics wasted no time taking control of Game 3, jumping out to a 20-point lead in the first half. Porzingis was a major factor in the Celtics' fast start, scoring 10 points in the first quarter.

The Mavericks fought back in the second half, cutting the Celtics' lead to just five points in the third quarter. However, the Celtics were able to weather the storm and hold on for the win.

Porzingis finished the game with 20 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 25 points, while Jaylen Brown added 22 points.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kyrie Irving added 24 points for Dallas.

The Celtics will look to close out the series in Game 4 on Tuesday night in Dallas.
